Website Quickstart

This quickstart connects one website to TROPIKAL so jobs can use approved Connected Data. Connected Data might let TROPIKAL read site content, create a draft, update an approved field, or delete an approved object.

The setup is handled from the Website dashboard. TROPIKAL checks the connection securely in the background; you should not open or paste technical connection URLs in your browser.

What you will do

  1. Add the website.
  2. Validate the connection.
  3. Connect the website.
  4. Sync Connected Data.
  5. Confirm the website is ready for jobs.

Key terms

Product term What it means today
Website connection The saved relationship between your TROPIKAL account and one website.
Connected Data Approved website business objects and actions, such as reading content or updating a reviewed article.
Readiness The connection check that shows whether the website can be used by jobs.
Sync The step that refreshes the list of Connected Data available to jobs.

1. Add a website

Open the Website dashboard and click Add website.

Enter:

  • Website name: a label you will recognize.
  • Website/API base URL: the public website or approved website service URL.

Click Save website.

2. Validate readiness

After saving, use the readiness panel to click Validate.

Validation checks whether TROPIKAL can reach the website connection and read its approved Connected Data list. If something is blocked, the readiness panel shows which check needs attention.

3. Connect

When readiness passes, click Connect. This creates the secure background connection used by TROPIKAL jobs.

Your browser does not receive provider credentials or private connection details.

4. Sync Connected Data

Click Sync Connected Data to import the approved website business objects.

The dashboard shows how many objects are synced. If the count is zero, the website may be connected but no actions are available yet.

5. Confirm it is ready

The website is ready when the dashboard shows:

  • Connected
  • Data synced
  • a recent Last sync time

You can now use the website in website chat or choose it as a Website publish destination in a job.

Troubleshooting

Problem What it means What to do
Validate required The website has not been checked yet. Open the website and click Validate.
Connection not ready One readiness check failed. Read the failed check message and retry after the website is corrected.
Connected, sync needed The connection works, but Connected Data is not loaded. Click Sync Connected Data.
No publish destination appears The website does not have a ready publish action. Sync Connected Data again or contact TROPIKAL support.
Publish is blocked Publishing requires review or the website refused the action. Review the content, confirm the destination, and retry only when the run is approved.
