A calmer, clearer interface — and full-screen Job setup

A broad design pass quiets the interface, fixes light mode across the product, and raises accessibility. Heavy Job configuration moves into focused full-screen screens with a go-live checklist, and the tropikal.dev member portal gains a board, comments, files, and meetings.

A calmer interface

  • ImprovedPlatform

    Quieter chrome

All-caps labels are gone, page headers lost their noisy kicker line, healthy status indicators are now quiet, destructive buttons stay neutral until the confirmation step, and raw machine values no longer reach the screen.

  • ImprovedPlatform

    Owner-friendly wording

Copy across the app was rewritten in plain, sentence-case language, with engineer-speak removed.

  • FixedPlatform

    Light mode and accessibility

Light theme is now correct across the app, the member portal, and the marketing sites, several of which were previously dark-only. Contrast was raised to meet WCAG AA, and keyboard and screen-reader gaps were closed.

Jobs

  • NewJobs

    Full-screen setup screens

Heavy configuration — the public embed, account and folder access, and the booking schedule — now opens in its own focused full-screen screen instead of a cramped inline form.

  • NewJobs

    Go-live checklist

The deploy screen now shows a checklist of everything a Job still needs before it can go live, with each item linking straight to where you fix it.

  • ImprovedJobs

    Honest readiness and plainer validation

The deploy panel no longer says a Job is ready while blocking errors sit right below it, and validation now reads in plain language, such as "Step 1: add instructions." The guided editor is also fixed in light mode and fits laptop screens.

Owner Chat

  • ImprovedOwner Chat

One consistent chat, aware of your screen

Every chat bubble now opens with the same calm backdrop, closes with Escape or a click, and respects reduced-motion settings. Chat can also read what you are currently looking at, so it can answer about the page in front of you.

Member portal

  • NewMember portal

A board, comments, files, and meetings

The tropikal.dev client portal gains a drag-and-drop board with a Done column, rich-text comments, image and file attachments, scheduled meetings with a Google Meet link, and AI summaries of meeting transcripts.

  • ImprovedMember portal

    Steadier interactions

Actions now use proper confirmation dialogs and success and error toasts, and errors are no longer silently swallowed.

Reliability and security

  • ReliabilityPlatform

    Faster under load

A performance pass pooled and cached connections, sped up sign-in and billing under load, and reduced database round-trips. Scheduled Jobs now release the database during the AI step instead of holding it for the whole run.

  • ImprovedPlatform

    European chat models

Managed chat now runs on European, Switzerland-based infrastructure with a refreshed model lineup, which owners may notice as different chat behavior.

  • FixedIntegrations

    Tighter production access checks

The integration endpoint no longer answers unauthenticated production requests with a broad development identity. No customer data was reachable, and the gap is now closed.

July 2026

Build Job knowledge in-product, and a rebuilt Connect dashboard

You can now create knowledge for a Job — including crawling a website — and attached knowledge reliably reaches chat answers. The Connect dashboard is rebuilt around your Jobs, and owner chat stops refusing safe answers.

Jobs and knowledge

  • NewJobs

Create knowledge, not just attach it

The Job knowledge tab can now create knowledge: add a text file, reuse an already-crawled site, or run a fresh website crawl by entering a URL and picking pages from the sitemap.

  • NewJobs

Connect a Job to a website from the wizard

You can wire a Job to a connected website while creating it, and the full library of managed actions — including the Google Calendar actions a booking Job needs — is now selectable with no separate install step.

  • FixedJobs

    Attached knowledge reaches answers

Knowledge attached to a Job now reliably reaches its chat and website answers. Several defects that could leave a source silently unsearchable were fixed, and an empty crawl now reports an honest error instead of showing as ready.

  • ImprovedJobs

    Editor polish and full German

The Job editor is easier to read, all of its copy is now translated so German users no longer see English, and the knowledge count in the operating-context card is now accurate.

Owner Chat

  • FixedOwner Chat

    No more unnecessary safe-answer refusals

The website owner-chat bubble was refusing to answer on almost every turn that used a tool. The per-turn budget now limits only model spend, so chat answers from the work it completed or gives an honest reason instead of a canned refusal.

Connect

  • ImprovedConnect

A dashboard built around your Jobs

The Connect dashboard now shows each job route with a status badge, its public invoke URL with a copy button, when it was last used, publish, pause, and delete controls, and a detail page listing recent invocations.

  • NewConnect

Add a route from a searchable picker

Adding a job route now picks the backing action from a searchable dropdown with a live preview of its inputs, outputs, and the invoke URL to use in your embed, replacing a field where you had to type an exact name.

  • ReliabilityConnect

    Route management is more robust

A production issue that could make the whole route-management view break was fixed, and routes that take no inputs can now be published, paused, and deleted cleanly.

Websites and account

  • ImprovedWebsites

    Clearer Websites section

The Websites area was realigned: German screens are fully translated, a misleading synthesized readiness checklist was replaced with the real connection status, and Sync now moved into the connected-data panel.

  • ImprovedAccount

    Clean dashboard links

The account dashboard now uses clean, shareable links with a working back button, and every backend and email link points to them. Plan features, pricing, and usage are fully translated for German.

Pricing, hosting, and docs

  • ImprovedCompany site

    Three clear self-serve plans

The tropikal.ai pricing now shows the three self-serve plans — Solo, Studio, and Agency — each behind a 30-day card-backed trial, and drops the old free and enterprise cards.

  • ReliabilityPlatform

    European hosting

TROPIKAL now runs on European infrastructure in Switzerland with self-managed data.

  • DocumentationDocumentation

    Docs updated to Jobs

The customer documentation and navigation were updated from Workflow to Job wording, while page addresses and code examples stay the same.

Appointment booking, plus real control over running Jobs

A complete appointment-booking system arrives, and Jobs gain stop, pause, and pre-flight checks so a misconfigured Job can't quietly burn credits. Trials and plans get simpler, and knowledge can be attached to a single Job.

Booking

  • NewBooking

One booking schedule for every booking Job

Set your weekly hours, date exclusions, slot length, lead and advance limits, and timezone once, and every booking Job follows it. Edit it right from the Job.

  • NewBooking

    Double-booking protection, cancel, and reschedule

A bookings record is now the single source of truth: overlapping times for the same attendee are refused, a retried request replays the original confirmation, and bookings can be cancelled or rescheduled.

  • NewBooking

    Public booking page

Where enabled,Visitors see real open slots in their own timezone and are checked for bots before a booking is written.

  • NewBooking

    Attendee privacy by default

Personal details from a booking are automatically redacted after a retention window, 90 days by default, while the booking times are kept.

Jobs

  • NewJobs

    Stop, pause, and resume

You can stop a running Job, and pause or resume a scheduled one. The on and off state is now honest instead of silently disabling itself after an edit.

  • NewJobs

Pre-flight checks before a Job goes live

A Job that would fail — a missing account grant, a blocked step, a revoked connection — is now caught before it can publish or run, so it can't quietly burn credits. A scheduled run that can't start shows up as a visible failed run instead of vanishing.

  • NewJobs

    Attach knowledge to a Job

You can attach knowledge sources to a specific Job so its steps can search them at run time.

  • FixedJobs

    Private knowledge stays private

Each knowledge source has a visibility setting, hidden by default and enforced at retrieval, so private knowledge can never appear in public website chat answers.

Activity

  • NewPlatform

    Plain-language run outcomes

Each run now collapses into a single outcome card, and every activity row opens a detail page that explains what broke and how to fix it, with shortcuts to reconnect an account, open the editor, or run again.

  • ImprovedPlatform

    Readable step details

Step input and output are shown as labeled fields, yes and no pills, and readable transcripts, with a raw view available on demand instead of raw data by default.

Plans and trials

  • NewBilling

    One free trial per card

Each payment card can claim at most one free 30-day trial. Returning customers who have used their trial now get a pay-today option instead of a dead end.

  • ImprovedBilling

    Simpler signup

The separate plan-choice step was removed from signup, so the trial paywall is the plan step and reliably resumes you after the trial starts.

  • FixedBilling

    Reliable credit top-ups

A broken payment path that could leave a credit top-up undelivered was repaired and is now covered by automated checks.

  • FixedAccount

    Credits meter reads correctly

The credits meter now fills by remaining balance, so a healthy account shows a full bar instead of a line that read as broken. Your saved theme is also applied immediately after you sign in.

  • ImprovedAccount

    Smoother account deletion

Deleting an account is smoother: passwordless accounts get a seamless re-authentication step, and a cancelled subscription no longer blocks deletion.

  • DocumentationPlatform

    Clearer terms and fee disclosures

Terms and privacy were split cleanly by product, and fee, trial, and renewal disclosures were added, including auto-renewal and one-trial-per-card terms.
